Miss US International 2011 - Kristen Little

with a minor in chemistry. Earning a science degree has meant a lot of commitment to education and additional commitment to her campus came after being crowned Miss GSU in 2009. Upon graduating this December, Kristen will continue her education in medical school with aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Kristen serves as a volunteer for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she works with children of all ages. The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a Children’s Miracle Network supported hospital which is one of the many non-profit organizations for which Kristen has helped raise funds. Some other organizations include Give Kids the World, CureSeach for Childhood Cancer, and Relay for Life. Kristen also stays active as a three year veteran on the NBA Atlanta Hawks Cheerleading team. As a veteran, her appearance is requested at multiple community and organization events each year and she also has the honor of performing at every Hawks home game. One of her greatest achievements as a team member has been serving as a captain and choreographer for the Junior Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders. In her spare time, Kristen is always looking for a new activity to try while enjoying the great outdoors. Her most recent adventure being rock climbing and she has plans for skydiving in the future. Kristen was crowned Miss New Mexico International 2011 and strives to surpass all expectations as she prepares for the Miss U.S. International pageant. Kristen believes that success is a steady progress toward one’s personal goals and the keys to success are to have a positive outlook on life and to stay determined and focused.  Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed.
